We are pleased to share our latest work on zeolite-based platforms for therapeutic delivery in bone-related applications.
The key novelty of the study lies in the use of chitosan as a functional linker between the zeolite matrix and the therapeutic agent – sodium risedronate, a bisphosphonate used in osteoporosis treatment. This approach combines the structural properties of zeolites with the functionality of a biopolymer, providing a promising basis for the development of pH-responsive drug delivery systems.
