a third-year Civil Engineering student, is conducting a research project titled “The effect of shale from Lubelski Węgiel ‘Bogdanka’ S.A. on the properties of selected cements.” The study focuses on assessing the impact of shale, added in amounts from 5% to 15%, on reducing the carbon footprint of cement while maintaining its required performance and strength characteristics. The aim of the project is to develop more sustainable cementitious binders. The project is supervised by Professor Wojciech Franus.

– a third-year Civil Engineering student, is carrying out a research project focused on modifying asphalt binders using zeolite-cyclodextrin additives impregnated with a water-oil emulsion. The goal of the project is to improve the stability of asphalt foam, optimize the foaming process, and enhance the durability of road pavements. The research includes an analysis of the rheological properties of modified foamed asphalts. The project is supervised by Dr. Lidia Bandura.

– a first-year master's student in Civil Engineering, is conducting a research project titled “Evaluation of the effectiveness of inhibiting the aging process of road asphalts using starches of various botanical origins.” His work focuses on analyzing the impact of biopolymers – specifically potato and corn starch – on reducing the aging of 50/70 road asphalt. The research includes binder modification and simulations of both short-term and long-term aging. The project is supervised by Dr. Szymon Malinowski.
