Rafał Panek’s technology recognised at INTARG 2026

We are delighted to announce that the solution developed by Dr Rafał Panek of the Lublin University of Technology, a member of MSAGroup – Materials/Synthesis/Application, has been awarded the Platinum Medal at the INTARG® 2026 International Fair of Inventions and Innovations in Katowice.
The recognised technology concerns the integrated production of zeolites and MCM-41 mesoporous silica from liquid post-production waste. The solution enables the conversion of liquid waste generated during the synthesis of zeolites from fly ash into high-value functional materials. Work on this solution was carried out as part of the LIDER programme (NCBR).
This is an example of a innovation that fits within the principles of the circular economy and demonstrates the potential of industrial waste as a raw material for modern environmental and energy technologies.
We congratulate Dr Rafał Panek and are delighted that the research conducted within the MSAGroup has been recognised at an international event promoting innovation and technology transfer to the economy.
Participation in the fair was made possible thanks to funding from the “Prezentujemy innowacje” programme, implemented as part of the “POLITECHNIKA LUBELSKA – DOSKONAŁA NAUKOWO” project.
