Road pavement produced with foamed asphalt technology – in which climate it works best?

Members of MSAGroup Dr Agnieszka Woszuk and
MSc. Michał Wróbel tried to answer this question during their one-month
scientific internship at the renowned research center at Aalto University in
Finland. Using dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), our researchers tested the
resistance of asphalt binders foamed with zeolite additives to low and high
temperatures. Under the guidance of experts in the field of asphalts – Dr Augusto
Cannone Falchetto and Dr Michalina Makowska they deepened their knowledge on
the rheology of asphalt binders. They also had an opportunity to learn about
the condition of road pavements and interesting architecture of Finland.
