Mesoporous silica of the MCM-41 structure type, manufactured in our laboratory, has been again used as an effective admixture for cementitious composites. In the newest study, MCM-41 was modified with four substances before application to cement paste: funcosil, triethanolamine, iron nitrate and gluconic acid. The research confirmed the effectiveness of the material modification and the positive effect of admixtures on the properties of the cement slurry, especially in the early maturation period (including an increase in flexural and compressive strength by 92.9% and 32.4%, respectively). The research was performed under the TEAM-NET project No. POIR.04.04.00-00-14E6/18.
