Science that Inspires – Prof. Andrzej Cwirzen at Lublin University of Technology
From October 6–10, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Andrzej Cwirzen from Luleå University of Technology – a distinguished expert and visionary in the field of concrete technology.
The visit took place as part of the program “Lublin University of Technology – Scientifically Excellent: Building Bridges,” aimed at connecting researchers and ideas to advance science at a global level.
Professor delivered two inspiring lectures:
·       on the mechano-chemical method of producing binders from recycled concrete,
·       and on smart concretes, which are redefining the concept of modern building materials.
It was a time full of discussions, new ideas, and inspiring meetings. The Professor had the opportunity to explore the infrastructure of Lublin University of Technology, as well as enjoy local cuisine and discover the beauty of the Lublin region.
We sincerely thank him for his inspiration and scientific passion!
Our collaboration with Luleå University of Technology is gaining momentum – with new publications, grants, and research challenges ahead. To be continued! 😄
