MSAGroup in Australia: from materials design to real-world biomedical impact
Jakub Matusiak recently completed a 2 months research stay at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University Australia), working closely with Aaron Elbourne and his team on advanced biomaterials and functional nanostructures.
During the visit, Jakub was involved in the synthesis and characterisation of nanomaterials, focusing on understanding how material surfaces interact with biological systems—an area that sits at the core of designing smarter drug delivery platforms and next-generation biomedical materials.
Beyond the lab, the stay was an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration between Lublin University of Technology and RMIT, supporting ongoing joint activities such as MagZEObone project. Access to cutting-edge infrastructure and daily exchange with an interdisciplinary team delivered valuable insights that will directly shape future research directions.
