MSAGroup at the 10th International Conference on Self-Healing Materials
We recently had the opportunity to participate in 10th International Conference on Self-Healing Materials (ICSHM 2026), one of the leading international conferences dedicated to self-healing materials, held on July 8–10, 2026, at Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA.
MSAGroup – Materials/Synthesis/Application was represented by Joanna Fronczyk, Martyna Janek, and Wojciech Franus. During the conference, Martyna Janek delivered an oral presentation entitled "Beyond Bacteria: What Really Drives Carbonate-Based Self-Healing in Cementitious Cracks", and we also presented two posters. We are also pleased to share that the poster presentation by Joanna Fronczyk and Wojciech Franus received First Prize in the Best Poster Competition.
The research presented at the conference builds upon work initiated within the TEAM-NET project POIR.04.04.00-00-14E6/18-00, "Fly Ashes as Precursors of Functionalized Materials for Applications in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering and Agriculture."
The conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss the latest advances in self-healing materials, and connect with researchers from around the world working in this field.
