Maciej Szeląg and Szymon Malinowski appreciated by the Lublin Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences

Two members of #MSAGroup were appreciated by the Lublin branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Dr. Eng. Maciej Szeląg was awarded the Prize of the President of the Lublin Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences for young scientists in the Exact and Technical Sciences category. The award was granted for the work “Fractal characterization of thermal cracking patterns and fracture zone in low-alkali cement matrix modified with microsilica” published in the journal Cement and Concrete Composites (IF: 7.586).

In the same competition and in the same category, Dr. Szymon
Malinowski received a distinction for the work “Application of cold plasma
corona discharge in preparation of laccase-based biosensors for dopamine
determination” published in Materials Science & Engineering C:
Materials for Biomedical Applications (IF: 7.328) . The award is granted every
year for the best original works (creative, monograph), research achievements,
patent implementation made by young scientists from the area of ​​the Branch’s
operation.
