New specialist laboratory equipment for our team
The Minister of Education and Science awarded targeted grants for the development of research infrastructure on 4 July 2023. We are very glad to announce that scientists from our MSAGroup research team are among the beneficiaries. Wojciech Franus, Agnieszka Woszuk and Szymon Malinowski were awarded funding of PLN 2,019,272.85 for the purchase of a system for the chemical structural analysis of building and construction materials equipped with a thin-layer chromatography analyser with dual detector (TLC-FID/FPD) and a mass spectrometer with proton transfer ionisation and time-of-flight detector (PTR-TOF). The system will be used to determine the comprehensive characterisation of petroleum refining process derivatives, bitumen binders derived from the recycling of deteriorated road pavements, bitumen binders modified with waste materials, oil-derived substances used in the production of lightweight aggregates, mineral-organic composites used for the removal of hazardous substances from soils, waters and wastewater, polymer composites used in means of transport, the degradation process of pollutants in environmental processes, i.e. catalytic, photocatalytic, biocatalytic degradation. Currently, similar measurement systems are only found in a few reputable laboratories around the world. As soon as the equipment is purchased and launched, we invite to collaborate with us in terms of science and R&D.
