Two research projects financed by the Polish National Science Center for our team members

The scientific
project entitled “Investigation of cracks development processes of cement
matrix modified with a reactive and non-reactive secondary additive under
thermal loading conditions”, which is managed by Maciej Szeląg, obtained
funding under the SONATA-17 program. The project focuses on studying and
understanding the processes of formation of thermal defects in the structure of
a cement matrix modified with the mesoporous silica of the MCM-41 structure
type and basalt powder.

The second
project entitled “Bifunctional, pH-responsive zeolite-bisphosphonates
complex as a base for the production of smart bone implant for osteoporotic
fracture treatment ” is carried out by the scientific consortium of the
Medical University of Lublin (leader) and the Lublin University of Technology
(consortium member) as a part of the OPUS-22 program. The project manager is
Agata Przekora-Kuśmierz, while Rafał Panek, Jarosław Madej and Wojciech Franus,
who directs these works, participate in the research tasks carried out at the
Lublin University of Technology. The aim of the project is to develop a
pH-sensitive zeolite-bisphosphonate complex that will serve as the basis for
the production of an intelligent bone implant for use in the treatment of
osteoporotic fractures.

Congratulations !!!
